My intro

This is my first blog post! Yeay!! Finally after so much of consideration, I’ve made it! This is where i’m going to post about my sewing journey, travel log, life update etc..

First, let’s talk about my sewing journey. My parents owns a manual sewing machine (the antique butterfly brand) ever since i could remember. During my childhood, my mum would made blanket, pillow case and sometimes sew dresses for me. Since we came from a poor family, my parents couldn’t afford to buy beautiful dresses for me. As far as i can remember, I only had 2-3 dresses or new cloth during my childhood. I was so jealous whenever i saw my friends wearing their new outfit for Gawai celebration/ Christmas (it’s a tradition whenever there’s a festive seasons, one should buy new clothes) and I would beg my parents to buy for me too.

I would imagine fancy, beautiful dresses & sometimes drew it too although i know my drawing skills are really terrible. I started real sewing when i was in secondary school where we had to attend Home economics study but I wasn’t serious at that time. I even submitted a ready-made outfit for my school project (dont ever do this kid).

My sewing passion started when I’ve finished my study and started working. My senior once told me during student time that I should pick up a real hobby after finish my study in order to fill up your time. I dont have slightest idea that i would picked sewing as my hobby. It all started when the YouTube world begin. There I was watching countless tutorial of diy, sewing technique etc. until I even started my own YouTube channel & posted a video tutorial.

And here’s my first item that i’ve ever made for myself. It’s hand sewn and took me 4 hours to complete it since i dont have sewing machine available at that time. Enough of this rambling..wait till my next post
